2023 is less than 6 months away. July usually kicks of the holiday season and any deep personal or business development reflections might be put on hold. If your plans are on course, that’s great. If they’re not there’s still time to have an accomplished 2022.
For many people change is necessary but daunting. The promise of a new start or transformation sounds exciting, but the process and implications can be scary and that’s why so many put it off. It’s good to take a break to be ready for a new start.
It takes a clear head and courage to maintain change whether at an individual or organisational level and as it’s holiday season, here are some tips to manage the new project or change you hope to accomplish in 2022.
1. Rest well to review well
It’s holiday season and it may feel like a luxury to take time out, but it pays dividends in terms of clarity. Rest is restorative and makes decision making and planning clearer.
2. Map monthly milestones
For the remainder of the year, review your plans or start to plan with monthly milestones that you can use to monitor progress towards goals. Breaking down a big goal into monthly milestones makes it easier to evaluate progress.
3. Sort out your core systems
The way we work and do business, can either activate or inhibit creativity. Review the systems that structure your business life and determine if they’re a help or hindrance to goal realisation.
